Family Service of Roanoke Valley is asking us to rally our friends, family, and networks to support their work. By making a donation to our duo, you will help support more Family Service Counseling, Youth Development, Healthy Relationship Groups, Public Guardianship, Personal Affairs Management, and Family Support services for the Roanoke Valley. This funding will help bring hope to those who are struggling with a mental health challenge.

Dr. Ally Bowersock double majored in Health Science and Nutrition & Wellness at Bridgewater College for her undergaduate degree before receiving a master's in Kinesiology from James Madison University. She moved to Roanoke in 2006, where she earned a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in Education, Curriculum, and Instruction, cognate in Health Promotion. Ally has been recognized nationally for her expertise in Exercise as Medicine, and now serves on the staff at Virginia Tech Carilion teaching medical school students. As co-owner of RunAbout Sports, Ally was named to The Roanoker's 2020 class of 40 Under 40 for her commitment to wellness in our community.
Julie Casey is the owner of Bread Run Roanoke. Bread Run is a pop-up bakery specializing in enriched breads. She was a former buyer for 310 Rosemont for a decade before launching her own small business in 2022. She has a 4-year-old son and married to her high school sweetheart.
