Help those who are suffering from mental health challenges in the Roanoke Valley
The Mission of Family Service of Roanoke Valley is to transform lives by healing trauma and restoring hope for families and individuals of all ages through mental health counseling, case management and life skills education. The organization began in 1901. As the pandemic continues, FSRV is helping new clients learn how to cope with the trauma and stress in addition to those that originally seeked our services. FSRV does so much fundraising because many clients are either under-insured or have no insurance at all.
Family Service of Roanoke Valley is asking us to rally our friends, family, and networks to support their work. By making a donation to our duo, you will help support more Family Service Counseling, Youth Development, Guardianship, and Personal Affairs Management services for the Roanoke Valley. This funding will go towards restoring health and hope in our community.
Please consider supporting our Celebrity Champion Duo and giving to Family Service of Roanoke Valley!
(Please note that donations are non-refundable).

Franny Apel is the Junior League of Roanoke Valley (JLRV) President. A transplant to Roanoke, she joined the JLRV in 2016. Through her involvement, she developed a passion for making an impact on the community as well as the courage to take action.
A former teacher with 17 years experience, Franny is also currently serving on the Roanoke City School Board and continues her involvement with other community boards and organizations. Hannah Hopkins is the Executive Vice President of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, and has been a member of the JLRV since 2018. In her years serving in the JLRV, she has focused primarily on community outreach and loves being able to make a difference in the Roanoke community!
In her daily life, Hannah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, play therapist, parenting coach and the owner of her private practice, Fig Tree Counseling. It is her calling to work with children and caregivers to build emotional wellness and strengthen family connections. Family Service of Roanoke Valley is close to Hannah’s heart, because it’s where she got her start as a social worker - working both in Youth Development with the Teen Outreach Program and in Counseling as an outpatient therapist. She would love for you to donate to help further FSRV’s important mission in our community!
